Financial capability

The Panel has long argued for an impartial financial advice service which is not linked to the sale of any financial products.  We therefore supported the Government’s Thoresen Review in 2008.  This has led to the FSA being charged with the development of a money guidance service.  We hope that this will provide the introductory support that people need to work out what to do with their money.

Now we have urged the FSA to identify outcomes for the money guidance pathfinder project and to indicate how they will measure achievement.
