Newsroom

newspapersThe Panel is an independent statutory body, and was established to advise the FSA on the interests and concerns of consumers and to report on the FSA’s performance in meeting its objectives. We focus on the policies of the FSA, although we may also look at the impact on consumers of activities outside but related to the FSA’s remit.

Our mission statement is to help to bring about an open, fair, competitive and well-regulated market in which consumers can make good choices, with confidence, from a range of products and services that offer real value to consumers, and to make sure that the interests of consumers are fully taken into account by the Financial Services Authority and other appropriate audiences.

We have key objectives which provide the focus to our proactive work. See our terms of reference for further details.
